Donate @ GoFundMe

Hey Guys! I hope everybody is doing great. With events coming up and some being planned, we are getting closer to our goal day by day. Muchas gracias to all those who have donated, and shared the link. The Nieto family is grateful. If you have not donated on the gofundme account, please do so. Anything is something. That $4 you’re going to spend tomorrow on coffee, it can go to a good cause. Even sharing this website can help. Share it with your neighbor, a co worker, or even an ex partner. You never know who feels kind & willing to share a couple dollars. Donate now to the “Amor for Alex Nieto Memorial,” which will be permanently established on Bernal Heights, the place where Alex was shot at 59 times and killed by the SFPD.

As you may know the San Francisco Board of Supervisors’ voted 9 to 1 in favor of the “Amor for Alex Nieto Memorial,” which means that this ordinance is veto proof from the Mayor. We will transform history with this powerful monument.

For Alex Nieto, for our community, we fought this fight, and we won the first memorial ever in California dedicated to a victim of a police killing. We held our dignity and proved to the world how we argue better and action more creatively and courageously than anyone ever could imagine.

Once the memorial is established, community members will hike up to that mountain and pray like Alex did and look out over the beautiful view of San Francisco and be inspired by our community resilience. Students will travel up to that hill for field trips and to learn about the history and creativity of our community; they will write thousands of educational essays. Families will pilgrimage hands together and love each other at the place where Alex breathed his last breath. This will be a place of peace, of inspiration and amor.

Against the violence and injustice of 59 bullets, family and community rose to defend honor and promote positive spirit.

Amor for Alex Nieto: March 4, 1986 to March 21, 2014.

United we support each other, build momentum, transform the system, and create an authentic history.

Rough estimates for this international quality momument are $40,000. As a community full of amor we can make this happen!

Below I will posting the link! Thank you!

Alex Nieto Memorial Fund Dinner

“Amor for Alex Nieto” was the biggest movement of gente ever in the United States dedicated to gaining justice for a fallen Latino brother, Alex Nieto, who was unjustly executed by the SFPD. The San Francisco and Bay Area community made international history. With our new memorial, funded completely by you, the people, we continue to make history.

We fought the great fight and did not lose. We argued their laws better than them, fought more creatively than the city with its billions of dollars, and uplifted the community more than any politicians ever could. We do not measure our worth by their “justice.” We held our honor, and now it is time to construct a monument for posterity. I have said it many times before, but I say it again: This memorial will feed our souls, no matter the difficulties of the times. This memorial will be an authentic educational tool; thousands of students will write educational essays about the Alex Nieto case.

Join us Thursday, February 15 at 6:00 p.m. at the City College Mission campus for The Alex Nieto Memorial Fund Dinner, and let’s continue to create for our beloved community.
